Prior to forming ‘Independent Building Inspections’ Graeme spent 12months as the Membership Development Manager for Certified Builders Association NZ. The 5 years prior to that Graeme spent as an industry advocate and Tutor of Carpentry at Polytechnics both in New Zealand and Australia. This experience means that Graeme has an intimate knowledge of New Zealand’s building codes and regulations. Over the years Graeme has worked in most areas of the building industry. Graeme has experience in high-end Residential construction, Light Commercial and Industrial and has been a sub-contractor in specialised areas of construction including agriculture structures and large scale retail developments.

Graeme also has extensive experience in renovations and additions to existing structures. Because of this experience Graeme has first-hand knowledge of all building products and techniques used in New Zealand both currently and historically.

Graeme is a qualified tradesman, and is a current Licensed Building Practitioner; he also is currently a member of Certified Builders Association NZ. All of Graeme’s reports are compliant with the NZS4306:2005 (The unit standard covering Residential Property Inspections). Graeme’s reports are regularly peer reviewed.
